Things to do in Seignosse
BEACHES AND SURFING – Endless white beaches attract holidaymakers from far and wide. The beach at Le Penon (500 meters from Seignosse Surf Villa) is ideal for a family vacation. It includes an amazing water park, lots of game centers and kiddies rides. Lifeguards are on duty at this swimming area. Hossegor, Seignosse, and Capbreton form the epicenter of surfing in Europe. Arguably the best beach break waves in Europe are found along this 5km stretch of coast. Surfers flock to these beaches every year, recognising this area as a surfing mecca.
SEIGNOSSE VILLAGE – You will find the Seignosse Village between the waterpark/skatepark and Le Penon Beach about 500 meters from the Villa. There are many fabulous restaurants, clothing shops, gift shops, bakery and convenience stores.
Every Sunday, there is a market which offers beautiful fresh produce, cheeses, preserved meats and salami, olives, breads, wonderful gift ideas and clothing.
OYSTER BARS – are farmed in the lake so many great fresh oyster bars on the white sand along its shores can be found. Beautiful fresh oysters may be enjoyed on the lake of Hossegor.
COFFEE SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS – World class restaurants abound in this area. Most are situated around the lake along the esplanade and around the Yacht Harbor. No matter where you go, you can sit and eat with spectacular views, discover delicious gourmet food and many different types of cuisines from sea food, french food to simple asian food.
THE WATER PARK – A water park is just 500 meters from your Seignosse accommodation. A firm favourite for the kids. Around 10 different slides shoot into sparkling pools. You can find a training pool for athletes to keep up their fitness .
THE HOSSEGOR LAKE – The beautiful Hossegor lake is surrounded by restaurants and is a hive of watersport activity from sailing to stand up paddle board training. The pristine waters of this tidal lake ensure that the oyster farms grow ample oysters to supply the many restaurants along the shoreline. Take a romantic stroll around the lake and dine on its white sandy beaches as the sun sets.
WINE FARMS – Wine farms at Bordeaux along the Landes coast , historic “chateaux”, lakes, mountains all create a the perfect backdrop for exploring.
GOLF – The Hossegor and the exceptional Seignosse Golf course are close by. It’s not uncommon to bump into Jose Maria Olazabal or Jean Van de Velde who train here.
CYCLING – There are more than 50km of cycle tracks from the villa, to the lake and onto the stunning yacht harbor. You can find more romantic cafes and restaurants around the harbor wharf .
SKATEBOARDING – Le penon boasts its own skateboard park alongside the waterpark so skateboard enthusiasts can cruise and grind.
